On September 9, 2019, the Virginia Department of Corrections (DOC) released a request for information (RFI DOC-20-045) seeking comments about how best to provide inmate heath care services across the state while improving service quality and reducing costs. The stated goal of the RFI is to "to provide quality health care services to offenders housed at DOC facilities across the state." Responses are due by October 1, 2019.
