Virginia To Launch Mandatory Medicaid Managed Long-Term Services & Supports After Duals Demonstration Ends In 2017

On September 15, 2015, the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) announced changes to its mandatory Medicaid managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) slated to launch in mid-2017. The new MLTSS program will replace the state’s dual eligible demonstration, Commonwealth Coordinated Care (CCC). The CCC is slated to end in December 2017 at which time dual eligibles will be enrolled in an MLTSS plan. MLTSS enrollments are projected at 110,000.
