Virginia Medicaid Launches Mandatory MLTSS Enrollment; Specialty Behavioral Health Services Included

On August 1, 2017, Virginia Medicaid launched enrollment for Commonwealth Coordinated Care Plus (CCC Plus), a new statewide Medicaid managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) program that will provide integrated specialty behavioral health services. The CCC Plus is projected to serve approximately 214,000 beneficiaries with complex care needs; enrollment is mandatory for qualifying populations. Enrollment will be phased in regionally from August through December 2017; the CCC Plus will be fully implemented and operational by January 1, 2018.
