On December 1, 2017, the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) selected six Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) for negotiations for the Medallion 4.0/FAMIS Managed Care Program that will integrate responsibility for specialty behavioral health services into the contract services. The new plans will cover acute and primary care services, prescription drug coverage, behavioral health services, and early intervention and non-traditional specialty behavioral health services.
