Virginia To Conduct First Rate Study Of Private Special Education Day Program Services

The Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS) plans to conduct its first-ever rate study of private special education day program services, according to a recent request for proposals (RFP OCS-18-201). The RFP was released on July 3, 2018, with proposals due by August 9, 2018. The contract is slated to run from the date of execution through December 31, 2019. The selected contractor will compare costs in Virginia, and across the states and the District of Columbia, in order to provide Virginia with recommendations for a rate setting methodology for this service.
