Founded in 1948, AHRC New York City is a tax-exempt provider organization serving consumers with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) throughout the five boroughs. AHRC New York City is a Chapter of The Arc New York, (formerly known as NYSARC, Inc.). They are accredited by the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL). NYSARC was founded to improve the quality of life for people with developmental and other disabilities. The Arc is a national community-based organization advocating for consumers with I/DD.
