Founded in 1893, Oak Hill is a private, non-profit provider organization that provides support services to children and adults with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. The organization was originally founded as the Connecticut Institute for the Blind and has since expanded to specialize in serving people with multiple disabilities, which include visual impairments. Oak Hill’s mission is to “set the standard, partnering with people with disabilities, to provide services and solutions promoting independence, education, health and dignity.”
