Pennsylvania House Bill 1650 Of 2017, To Close Developmental Centers

On July 8, 2017, Pennsylvania state Representative Kerry Benninghoff introduced this bill to close developmental centers. The legislation calls for the closure of state facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, for the transfer of individuals with intellectual disabilities receiving care at state facilities to a home and community-based support system, and for the disposition of state facility property; establishing the Home and Community-Based Services Fund
