The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) awarded $4,403,530 in state and federal funding to agencies and organizations that serve the state's 42nd District, which includes Allegheny County. These grants fund victim services and local violence prevention initiatives. The awards were announced by Pennsylvania state senator Wayne Fontana, who represents the 42nd District.

The awardees include:

A Child’s Place: $50,000 in State Children’s Advocacy Center funds

Allegheny-Singer Research Institute: $500,000 in Federal State Opioid Response Grant funds
