9% Of Children With ADHD Outgrow It
About 9% of children ages 7 to 9 diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) experienced sustained recovery over a 16-year follow-up period into young adulthood by age 25. The remainder continued to experience residual symptoms into young adulthood. However, of those who did not experience sustained remission, only 11% had persistent ADHD symptoms across the follow-up period.
