CMS Issues Recommendations To Re-Open Health Care Systems In Areas With Low Incidence Of COVID-19
On April 19, 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued recommendations to allow health care facilities to reopen to provide non-emergent health care that is not related to Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). The recommendations update earlier guidance provided by CMS on limiting non-essential surgeries and medical procedures, and apply to areas that have a low, or relatively low and stable incidence of COVID-19.
