Denver City Council Contracts With Second Chance Center To Provide Community Reentry Services
On June 16, 2021, the Denver City and County Council approved a contract with Second Chance Center, Inc. (SCC) to provide jail-to-community reentry services. The contract is valued at $671,562 and runs through December 31, 2021, with the possibility of an additional three years' renewal. Second Chance Center will provide targeted supportive services delivered both in jail and at the center following the Transition from Jail to Community (TJC) model. The incumbent, Servicios de la Raza, was contracted by the Crime Prevention and Control Commission (CPCC) and has held the contract since 2018.
