On December 18, 2018, Kindred Healthcare, LLC and Netsmart announced a partnership to develop a next generation clinical platform, including an electronic health record (EHR),for provider organizations in the aging services and post-acute markets. The platform will build on Kindred's existing proprietary EHR solution used at Kindred's long-term acute care (LTAC) hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, and Lacuna Health (which provides registered nurse-led care engagement solutions) using functionality from Netsmart's existing Care Fabric platform.
