Los Angeles County Creates On-Site Behavioral Health Crisis Teams For Restorative Care Villages
On December 7, 2021, the Los Angeles County Board Supervisor approved a motion to provide additional support to Restorative Care Villages with trained and responsible crisis intervention teams. The addition of behavioral health crisis teams is intended to provide prompt response by trained and responsible crisis intervention teams. The goal of the crisis intervention teams is to de-escalate disputes, prevent violence, prevent suicides, and intervene with individuals in mental health crisis.
