Michigan Legislation Creates Path To Professional License For Behavioral Analysts
Michigan is in the process of creating professional licensing for professionals who provide behavioral interventions such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children diagnosed with autism. Legislation enacted in December 2016 directed the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) to create rules, with a newly created Board of Behavioral Analysts, for the profession. The end result will be an occupational license for behavioral analysts and assistant behavioral analysts.
