Missouri Preparing To Reduce Wait List For Developmental Disability By Expanding Partnership For Hope Waiver

Missouri is planning to reduce the wait list for developmental disability waiver services by expanding its Partnership for Hope Waiver to new areas of the state. In the state’s 2014-2015 budget, Governor Jay Nixon proposed allocating nearly $24 million for the waiver services, which would provide services to 970 more people.

As of July 2013, the Partnership for Hope Waiver had enrolled over 2,470 individuals, but there are currently about 1,400 people on the waiting list. The funding will eliminate waiting lists in every county participating in the Partnership for Hope, and will provide in-home . . .
