Antipsychotic Use Among Nursing Home Residents With Dementia Dropped Following Use Of Computer-Based Engagement Program
About 86% of nursing facility residents with dementia who used a computerized, customized social engagement program developed by It's Never 2 Late (iN2L) had lower use of antipsychotic medications than before using the program. The residents were participating in a 24- week pilot through The Birdsong Initiative at the Hoy Nursing Care Center at the Westminster-Canterbury on the Chesapeake Bay senior living community.
