On December 28, 2023, Cerebral, an online mental health provider organization, settled a complaint about its membership cancellation practices with the New York Attorney General. After receiving consumer complaints, an investigation by the Office of the Attorney General found that Cerebral maintained a long and burdensome cancellation process, and continued to charge consumers after they tried to cancel their subscriptions to the service.
