Pennsylvania To Submit Medicaid 1115 Waiver For Expanded Health-Related Social Needs
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (PA DHS) will submit a Medicaid 1115 waiver to expand the state’s Medicaid coverage for health-related social needs (HRSNs). The waiver seeks Medicaid reimbursement for a new program, “Bridges to Success: Keystones of Health for Pennsylvania” (Keystones of Health), that will offer targeted supports and services in four focus areas. The public comment period on the waiver ended on January 2, 2024, and PA DHS will submit to the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) once updates from these comments are finalized.
