OPEN MINDS, The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry News Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSYS), based in Franklin, Tennessee, and Ramsay Youth Services Inc. (Nasdaq: RYOU), based in Coral Gables, Florida, announced on April 9, 2003, the signing of a definitive agreement that Psychiatric Solutions will acquire Ramsay in a transaction valued at approximately $78 million, consisting of $58.1 million in cash (or $5.00 per share) for Ramsay's common stock, and the assumption of Ramsay's outstanding debt.
