Modern Marketing In Health & Human Services: When ‘Good Enough’ Becomes A Strategic Liability

January 15, 2026

1:00 – 2:00 pm ET

Provider organizations serving consumers with chronic conditions and complex support needs operate in crowded, high-stakes markets, where credibility, trust, and relevance can drive access, adoption, and growth. Yet many payers, provider organizations, and technology organizations continue to treat marketing as a supporting function rather than a strategic capability.

During this one-hour live event, OPEN MINDS Executive Vice President Rachel Steinmetz and OPEN MINDS Senior Associate Lydia Kerr will discuss the marketing required to compete in a digital, choice-driven market and how outdated marketing approaches signal misalignment, erode trust, and create competitive risk.

The discussion will include how executives can evaluate whether their current marketing and digital presence support strategy or create competitive risk, and how to use external benchmarks to examine how successful technology adoption, digital presence, and innovation are at influencing trust and employer attractiveness.

Executive attendees will:

  • Understand how an organization’s marketing shapes credibility and trust among consumers, partners, payers, and the workforce in a digital market.
  • Assess whether marketing is positioned as a strategic capability or an operational afterthought.
  • Recognize the strategic risks created by outdated or incremental marketing approaches.
