Minnesota Department of Health Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Unit seeks a contractor to write a culturally-specific curriculum for the American Indian community. The contractor will implement a public health intervention to address heart disease disparities in the American Indian community in Minnesota. The 2004-2010 Minnesota Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention State Plan recommends culturally-appropriate strategies to address disparities in cardiovascular disease mortalities. The curriculum will explain heart-healthy lifestyle choices and the signs and symptoms of a heart attack. The long-term goal is to reduce heart attack death rates and minimize disabilities . . .
