Iowa's Cedar County Department of Human Services awarded a contract to Cedar County Agricultural Extension District to implement the Community Partnership for the Protection of Children (CPPC) Initiative. CPPC is a four strategy initiative to improve how children are protected from abuse and neglect. CPPC blends the work and experience of families, professionals, and residents to help services to be more inviting, strengths and needs-based, accessible and relevant. Four core strategies are individualized course of action/family team meetings; community/neighborhood networking; child protection service policy and practice change and; shared decision-making. Contract period is March 23 . . .
