Mississippi Department of Human Services seeks a contractor to administer a prevention/intervention youth development program in multiple disadvantaged community/county sites. The program will target youth, ages 6-18 (19-21 year olds if they do not have a high school diploma or GED), in low-income families and provide services to prevent and reduce at-risk behaviors; thus, preventing or breaking the cycle of welfare dependence. Services/activities will include, but are not limited to, reducing and preventing out-of-wedlock pregnancies; prevention/intervention/reduction of substance abuse; and prevention/reduction of other behaviors that prevent the attainment . . .
