Missouri's Post-Polio Health International (PHI) announces the availability of funding for implementation of the Research Project Grant. PHI established a Research Fund in 1995 to support scientific research leading to eventual amelioration of the consequences of poliomyelitis and/or neuromuscular respiratory diseases. Through the fund, PHI offers two annual grants. The Thomas Wallace Rogers Memorial Respiratory Research Grant supports research that investigates the management of neuromuscular respiratory insufficiency and explores historical, social, psychological, and independent living aspects of long-term home mechanical ventilation.
