Building A ‘Clinic Without Walls’: A Discussion With Ross Robinson, Former CEO Of Hill Country Mental Health And Developmental Disabilities Center
Behavioral Health providers, both rural and urban, struggle to provide easy and prompt access to their services. This especially is a problem when it involves serving low-income populations. In this Circle Elite Executive Roundtable, OPEN MINDS Senior Associate Jason Lippman will join Ross Robinson, OPEN MINDS Senior Associate and former Chief Executive Officers of Hill Country, as he presents the “Clinic Without Walls” model Hill Country MHDDC developed in partnership with small communities that expanded access to services for people in their rural area of Texas. Senior executives will learn how to leverage existing resources, create opportunities for enhanced collaboration, and appreciate the potential they possess to expand their services beyond the physical locales of their clinics.
Executive attendees will:
- Review the concept of a ‘clinic without walls’ – a flexible, mobile, and person-centered service for consumers with SMI who cannot access care due to logistical and/or socio-economic barriers
- Understand the market drivers for services delivered by a ‘clinic without walls’
- Learn how to build a ‘clinic without walls’
- Gain an understanding of the challenges faced by Hill Country MHDD Centers and how they were addressed.
