Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Public Health, section of Tobacco Prevention Control seeks a contractor to provide a statewide toll-free telephone-based tobacco cessation quitline service. The successful contractor will provide simple, no-cost, telephonic point of access to services to assist tobacco users in quitting. These services will provide screening and assessment of readiness to quit, counseling and advice, support materials, information from the U.S. Public Health Service of recommendations on the use of pharmacological cessation aids, referral to community-based services, no cost Nicotine Replacement Therapy patches and/or other cessation aids . . .
