District of Columbia Child and Family Service Agency seeks a contractor to assist in the creation of a Family Preservation Project. The contractor will provide critical legal advocacy and social work services for low-income families at risk of entering the abuse and neglect system and potentially having a child removed from the home. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating legal support for parents and caregivers in an effort to prevent unnecessary removals and foster care placement, minimize the emotional trauma caused by removal, and provide the opportunity for children to remain with their parents or with family members . . .
