U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine announces the availability of funding for implementation of the Biology of Manual Therapies (R21) Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant. The purpose of this grant is to investigate the basic science and mechanisms of action underlying the neurophysiological (especially the central nervous system responses), immunological, endocrinological, and/or biomechanical consequences of manual therapies, such as spinal manipulation, mobilization, and massage therapy.
