U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases announces the availability of funding for implementation of the Basic Research on HIV Persistence (R21) Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant. The purpose of this grant is to increase understanding of persistent HIV-1 infection in patients under highly active anti-retroviral therapy. The R21 mechanism should break new ground or extend previous discoveries toward new directions or applications.
