U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases announces the availability of funding for implementation of the Multidisciplinary Studies of HIV and Viral Hepatitis Co-Infection (R21) Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant. The purpose of this grant is to fill gaps in the understanding of the pathogenic interactions between HIV and hepatitis viruses; co-morbidities associated with HIV/hepatitis virus co-infection; and the effectiveness of interferon-free, direct-acting antiviral drug regimens to treat HIV/HCV co-infection.
