Maryland Health Care Commission seeks a contractor to create episode of care groups cost and quality measures using episode grouper software based on or comparable to the grouper developed originally by Health Care Incentives Improvement Institute, Inc. (HCI3) and Maryland’s All Payer Claims Data Base (APCD). The contractor will generate episode of care groups; accurately attribute to hospitals (or other provider types) responsible for each of the episodes, and calculate normalized cost and quality measures for the hospital/provider that account for differences in illness burden in patient populations.
