Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) seeks a contractor to assist the department in developing and delivering an effective mental health de-escalation training for DOC staff who work in Field Services, along with community partners. It is preferred that the curriculum(s) be based on the “Memphis Model” of Crisis Intervention Team, but adjusted so the instruction is relevant to staff providing community supervision to individuals sentenced to probation or serving the supervised release portion of a felony prison sentence. The project will ensure 50% of Field Services staff receive training in mental health and crisis de-escalation strategies . . .
