With more than 25 years in community healthcare, Mike Baker has led Heritage Health since 2009, transforming it into one of Idaho’s largest nonprofit health systems. He began his work in community health in 1999 and continues to lead with a focus on connection, prevention, and trust.
Under his leadership, Heritage now serves more than 25,000 patients each year with an annual operating budget of nearly $50 million. Through the Center for Healthy Living, Mike has advanced a model of integrated care that unites medical, behavioral, and wellness services to help people live better, not just get better.
He believes artificial intelligence can help restore humanity to healthcare, reducing burnout, improving access, and giving care teams more time to focus on their patients. He sees AI not as a replacement for empathy, but as a tool to strengthen it.
Outside of healthcare, Mike explores how AI can deepen creativity and connection through Mike Baker HQ, a platform that brings together his music, writing, and AI-generated art to tell stories of hope, truth, and belonging.
Mike began his career as an AmeriCorps Member in Salt Lake City, an experience that continues to shape his purpose-driven approach to leadership. He holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Utah and an MBA focused on organizational leadership.

Michael Arevalo, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with experience in evidence-based treatment and quality improvement across diverse clinical settings, including community mental health organizations, private practice, university counseling centers, and major healthcare systems like the VA and Kaiser Permanente. As Director of Clinical Strategy at Core Solutions, Inc., he leads the integration of clinical best practices into the company’s EHR platform, collaborating with product, engineering, and AI teams to develop data-driven solutions that enhance clinician workflows and patient care. He also defines quality metrics, ensures regulatory compliance, and develops training programs to optimize digital health tools.
