Developing Innovative Collaborations For School-Based Mental Health Services—The Emergence Health Network Case Study

March 30, 2023

In recent years, there has been a renewed focus on children’s mental health, driven by increases in diagnoses like anxiety and depression among children, as well as the increasing difficulties many primary care practices have finding services for children with behavioral health needs, autism, I/DD, learning disabilities, and co-morbid and complex medical conditions. There have been many proposed solutions to these troubling statistics, including new state policies, funding, and programmatic approaches.

Join Kristi Daugherty, chief executive officer for Emergence Health Network (EHN), the Local Mental Health Authority for El Paso, Texas, as she discusses EHN’s work with local school districts to develop and launch innovative programming in the area of children’s mental health.

Executive attendees of this session will learn about:

  • The opportunity for collaboration among child-serving provider organizations
  • How school-based Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) are innovating crisis care for kids
  • How to develop a full continuum of children’s services
  • Lessons learned in the delivery of campus-based services
