Join us as Michael Lardieri, Core Solutions Sr. VP of Strategy, and featured guests, Dr. Andrew Cleek, Deputy Executive Director and Boris Vilgorin, Health Care Innovations Officer at NYUs McSilver Institute, discuss advancing Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in behavioral health care to improve outcomes. In this session, we will review the role of EBPs, how they positively impact good clinical outcomes, the range of available EBPs, and how to decide which ones are appropriate for your organization. We will demonstrate how technology advancements and AI support organizations. We will also review how EBPs can augment your workforce and provide real-time guidance for your staff in maintaining fidelity to the EBP while allowing them to focus on the clinical relationship and the client. Lastly, we will discuss how NYU and Core together are in advancing positive clinical outcomes and improving the skill sets needed to implement EBPs.

  • Andrew Cleek, Deputy Executive Director, NYU McSilver Institute
    Dr. Andrew F. Cleek is an expert on the scalable implementation of systems change initiatives, particularly related to healthcare reform, value based payments, Medicaid managed care, and trauma-informed services. He is the McSilver Institute’s Deputy Executive Director, where he oversees a portfolio of technical assistance offering training and support to all behavioral health, agencies in New York State. He additionally directs a number of initiatives involving trauma-informed care, early childhood mental health and the implementation of healthcare reform in New York, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.  He was previously the institute’s Chief Program Officer. Prior to his tenure at the McSilver Institute, Dr. Cleek was the founding director of the Urban Institute for Behavioral Health, an association of 15 nonprofits dedicated to the implementation of evidence-based models in real-world settings. Dr. Cleek has 15 years of experience leading local and statewide, and national technical assistance activities to help nonprofits improve business, clinical, and administrative operations
  • Boris Vilgorin, MPA, Health Care Innovations Officer, NYU McSilver Institute
    Boris Vilgorin currently works at the NYU McSilver Institute as the Health Care Innovations Officer. He provides technical assistance, training and consultation services to mental health, substance abuse, foster care, intellectual and developmental disability, health home agencies and managed care organizations. His expertise is; Not for Profit, Behavioral Health and I/DD Business and Management, Infrastructure, Implementation and Business Development, Health Homes and Care Management, Managed Care and/or Value Based Payments. Vilgorin also is an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University Silver School of Social Work and Columbia University School of Social Work. Vilgorin was formerly the Vice President Managed Care and Business Development, overseeing Managed Care Contracts and Services for F•E•G•S behavioral health network. He was also part of New York State Office of Mental Health Clinic Restructuring Stakeholder Workgroup and involved in implementation of New York State Department of Health Chronic Illness Demonstration Project, PROS and Health Home services. In addition, Vilgorin served in a number of DSRIP/PPS Senior/Executive Committees and on the board of an Independent Practice Association (IPA). Prior to F•E•G•S, Vilgorin worked at Magellan Behavioral Health, where he implemented and supervised Call Center services, was part of the development and implementation team, and served as contract manager for ambulatory care networks for the metropolitan region.
  • Michael Lardieri, LCSW, Senior Vice President, Strategy, Core Solutions
    Michael R. Lardieri serves as Senior Vice President – Strategy at Core Solutions. Mr. Lardieri has over 30 years of health care experience in inpatient, outpatient and managed care settings and was behavioral health administrator for one of the largest Federally Qualified Community Health Centers (FQHCs) in the nation.  He has extensive experience in health plan operations, network development, population health, implementing electronic health record and other health information technologies, treatment of opioid addiction, and integrating behavioral health and primary care. His managed care experience includes senior positions in clinical and provider relations areas. Prior to joining Core Solutions Mr. Lardieri was Chief Operating Officer at Kaden Health a virtual MAT startup and Assistant Vice President, Strategic Program Development at Northwell Health (formerly the North Shore-LIJ Health System), the 14th largest health system in the nation.  In this capacity, he oversaw the use of technology in the integration of physical and behavioral health care, including a health information exchange, patient portals, clinical quality measures, use of smart phone technologies and population health. Prior to Northwell, Mr. Lardieri was Vice President, Health Information Technology & Strategic Development at the National Council for Behavioral Health. In addition, as an experienced and licensed mental health professional, Mr. Lardieri not only provides consulting services in the fields of mental health and substance abuse but also in integrating these services with various medical fields.  Mr. Lardieri is a Member of the National Quality Forum (NQF) Behavioral Health Measures Subcommittee.  He serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Morehouse School of Medicine Health Policy Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center (TCC) for Health Disparities Research in Atlanta and the Georgia Health Information Technology Extension Center (GA-HITEC).  He is an Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Certified Health Information Technology (HIT) Clinician/Practitioner; in 2014, Mr. Lardieri was selected The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology as a member of the ONC HIT Policy Committee (HITPC) Workgroup on HIT Implementation, Usability and Safety and has also served on the ONC HIT Policy Workgroup on Voluntary Certification for Technology companies serving providers not eligible for Meaningful Use Incentives.  Mr. Lardieri was a lead participant in developing the Patient Engagement Framework under the ONC and is a national presenter and educator in the areas of behavioral health technology, meaningful use, telebehavioral health and integrated care. He also previously served as a Board Member of the National eHealth Collaborative (NeHC) and the National Research Institute (NRI).
