Bailey Blair is a micro- and macro-level social work practitioner with more than ten years of experience in a variety of roles in the behavioral health system. As the Clinical Liaison for the Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas, Bailey provides coordination and clinical support for consumers entering mental health services from inpatient psychiatric care, correctional facilities, homeless shelters and other community providers. Bailey’s responsibilities include diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, clinical auditing and oversight, and student recruitment and supervision. Bailey also serves as the co-chair of the Sedgwick County Suicide Prevention Coalition and is a member of the Kansas Governor’s Behavioral Health Services Planning Council Prevention Subcommittee and the State Suicide Prevention Workgroup. Bailey is also the Vice-President and Lead Trainer for StopSuicideICT.
Dale Hamilton, MEd, MSB, Executive Director, Community Health and Counseling Services of Maine
Dale Hamilton is the Executive Director of Community Health and Counseling Services. Dale began his professional career at CHCS in 1992 soon after completion of his M.Ed. from the University of Maine and his M.S.B. from Husson College. Dale has been involved in Maine’s behavioral health system for 30 years. He remains an active member of the executive committee of the statewide professional organization committed to promoting, protecting, and preserving community mental health care for people living in Maine.
Mary Jones, LCMFT, LCAC, President / Chief Executive Officer, Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas
Mary is the President/CEO of the Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas and part time faculty at Friends University in Wichita, KS. She has developed community-based service programs for people with mental illness for the last 25 years. Her professional highlights include housing development for people with severe mental illness and seniors, and opening/expanding outpatient treatment programs including therapy, medication services and treatment for substance use disorders. Mary spent many years as the Compliance Officer of the organization and was instrumental in the adoption and implementation of its EHR. She is President of the Kansas Mental Health Coalition and a board member of the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board. She is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor.
Leslie Lennig, LCSW, Regional Manager for the Southern Region, Community Health and Counseling Services of Maine
Leslie Lennig, LCSW, has worked for Community Health and Counseling Services (CHCS) for over 10 years. Currently, she is the Regional Manager for the Southern Region of CHCS, as well as the Clinical Lead for the agency. Ms. Lennig received her MSW from Boston College Graduate School of Social Work in 2006, but has been working in the field since 1998. Ms. Lennig has co-written two curriculums that have been utilized with at-risk youth in Central and Southern Maine since 2006 – The Adolescent Anger Management Program and Skills for Responsible Thinking. Ms. Lennig is extensively trained in trauma informed practices, specifically Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as both a practitioner and as a supervisor. In her current role, she oversees many programs such as therapeutic foster care, child and adult case management, outpatient therapy, the Early Childhood Consultation Program, the Resource Parent Care Team, home-community based treatment, and the Crisis Care Coordination program. As the Clinical Lead for the agency, she has been involved in several projects, including Bells, the Consumer Engagement Forum, and providing group supervision for all of the licensed clinicians in the agency. Ms. Lennig is also working on developing several initiatives including the internal staff development institute, the ethics review board, and the case review council. She has lived in Maine for 23 years and enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, ATVing, snowmobiling and hiking with her wife at their place on Moosehead Lake.

The resurgence of the COVID Delta variant has certainly created new challenges for the country and for our families. Fortunately, the available COVID vaccinations have been very successful in preventing symptomatic infections and illness. But I did want to let you know that our team at OPEN MINDS is committed to making our executive events as safe as possible and have an active risk management plan in place. I wanted to share with you the key elements of our plan:
- Masking. Every participant will receive a mask as part of their registration materials. Unvaccinated people will be required to wear masks – and vaccinated attendees will be encouraged to wear masks. If the local or state governments have more restrictive standards (including mandatory masking or requiring proof of vaccination) at the time of our institutes, we will follow those standards.
- Social Distancing. We are working with the event venue to hold all sessions in the largest possible rooms with seating as far apart as possible. In order to accomplish this, we ask that you select in advance the sessions you plan to attend in-person at the event venue. This will assist us with room and seating arrangements.
- Outdoor Events. Where possible, we will use outdoor spaces for networking events and smaller sessions.

- Virtual Sessions. Every session will be partially or fully available in a virtual capacity:
- We are livestreaming via GoToWebinar our plenary sessions – keynote addresses and plenary panels. You can participate online from your hotel room (or from your home office if you can’t attend on-site). We will be accepting questions from both the onsite and online audiences.
- Each executive seminar is being offered at two separate times, one live at the event venue and the other exclusively for virtual attendees.
- We are recording the audio for each session – and will post the audio along with presentation materials after each session.
- A virtual exhibit hall will be available with access to all exhibitor contact information, product demos, and engagement opportunities.
