It’s the uncertainty. Based on my recent discussions with leaders in the health and human service field, the shifting sands of government policy and its effect on organizational financial sustainability is what keeps them up at night.

This perception is not without reason. In the past two weeks alone, we’ve seen an executive order that shifts federal policy on homelessness and housing supports (see Executive Order Sets New Federal Policy On Homelessness & Civil Commitment). And there was an announcement from the White House about proposed plans to eliminate the minimum wage and overtime for home care workers . . .
