Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan announced more than $1.1 million support for community-based organizations to improve access to quality care in Los Angeles County. The goal of the awards is to contribute and enhance the local non-profit organizations’ ongoing work that is transforming the health of the surrounding underserved communities. The announcement was made during the Los Angeles City Council meeting, where council members recognized Blue Shield Promise and the 12 community-based organizations for their engagement and efforts to improve the health of Angelenos.
