The nonprofit Behavioral Health Network has been awarded a two-year state contract to open an addiction recovery house for up to 25 men in Springfield.

Dubbed "Cole's Place," the facility at the corner of Liberty and Heywood streets in the city's Lower Liberty Heights neighborhood is currently being renovated. It will provide 24-hour support and assistance to recovering addicts, ages 18 and older, "who need a setting to transition from early addiction recovery to a community living situation," BHN officials said in a news release Monday.

The state contract was awarded through the Massachusetts Executive Office . . .
