In a recent interview,;Dr. Oz unpacks Possible Work Requirements For Medicaid, Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator, laid out the fundamental arguments for proposed changes to Medicaid—in particular, work requirements. He said that those who would face new work requirements should “prove that you matter” because it “never dawned on anybody that able-bodied people who work would be on Medicaid… We’re asking that able-bodied individuals who can go back to work at least try to get a job, or at least volunteer, or take care of a loved one . . .
