UnitedHealth Group’s Optum U.K. Acquires EMIS Group For $1.5 Billion

An affiliate of UnitedHealth Group’s Optum in the United Kingdom (U.K.) is acquiring EMIS Group, a U.K.-based health care software and solutions company in a deal valued at $1.5 billion. The acquisition by the Boards of Bordeaux UK Holdings II Limited (Bidco), an affiliate of Optum Health Solutions Limited (Optum U.K.) and a wholly owned subsidiary of UnitedHealth.
