Texas Dual Eligible Integrated Care Demonstration: Preliminary Second Evaluation Report
On May 31, 2022, the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services published this preliminary second evaluation report of the Texas Dual-Eligible Integrated Care demonstration. In November 2014, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and CMS entered into three-way contracts with Medicare-Medicaid Plans (MMPs) to provide integrated Medicare and Medicaid benefits to dually eligible beneficiaries under the Texas Dual Eligible Integrated Care Demonstration. Beneficiaries who are 21 or older and who get their Medicaid benefits through the State’s Medicaid managed care program, STAR+PLUS, are eligible unless they are otherwise excluded.
