Federal Trade Commission Letter Denying UHS Motion for Extension of Time for Divestiture of the Las Vegas Divestiture Assets in Psychiatric Solutions Acquisition
December 27, 2011 The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) denied a request by Universal Health Services (UHS) for more time to sell facilities it acquired from Psychiatric Solutions in November 2010. The FTC said the acquisition was anticompetitive in three markets—Delaware; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Puerto Rico.
