West Virginia State Plan Amendment #22-0007

On September 8, 2022, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services published this approval for the West Virginia State Plan Amendment (SPA) #22-0007. This plan amendment approval is for the extension of Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) coverage for 12 months after pregnancy in the state. As a result, up to an additional 3,000 people annually will now be eligible for Medicaid or CHIP for a full year after pregnancy . . .
