More Than a Job: Final Results from the Evaluation of the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) Transitional Jobs Program
Researchers Cindy Redcross, Megan Millenky, Timothy Rudd, and Valerie Levshin with MDRC evaluated a reentry employment program for ex- offenders offered by the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) in New York City. The study uses a random assignment design: it compares rearrest and employment outcomes for individuals assigned to the program group who were given access to CEOÂ’s jobs and other services, with the outcomes for those assigned to the control group, who were offered basic job search assistance at CEO along with other services in the community. The analysis also includes a cost-benefit evaluation.
