In January 2012, the Virginia Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission (JLARC) released a review of the civil commitment of sexually violent predators. JLARC reviewed the civil commitment assessment process and the treatment provided at the Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabiliation. The reivew also included staffing and operating costs.
