AmeriHealth Caritas contracted with Baptist Health South Florida to serve members enrolled in the “AmeriHealth Caritas Next” Health Insurance Marketplace plan serving Florida. AmeriHealth Caritas provides Medicaid managed care and health insurance marketplace plans. Its “Next” plan in Florida is a new insurance option for people in Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

Within that service area, Baptist Health South Florida operates 12 hospitals, more than 200 outpatient centers, urgent care facilities, and physician practices, and has more than 500 Baptist Health Medical Group physicians.
