Sheridan Memorial Hospital In Wyoming Awarded $5.9 Million Grant To Develop A Mental Health Crisis Unit
Sheridan Memorial Hospital (SMH) in Wyoming was awarded a $5.9 million grant from the State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB) at the board’s November 16, 2022, meeting. The hospital intends to use the funding to help develop an Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment, Healing (EmPATH) program and a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) to serve Sheridan County and the surrounding region. Together, EmPATH and the CSU will provide psychiatric urgent care, crisis stabilization, inpatient psychiatric beds, and therapy space.
