On February 3, 2012, a federal appeals circuit court in Chicago ruled that Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) would not be required to retroactively identify all students since 2000 who might have needed special education services through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The ruling is the latest turn in Jamie S., et al., v.
